We are looking to recruit to the post of Dental Workforce Dean. This role is a substantive position for 22.5 hours per week. The Dental Workforce Dean will work with and support the NHS England Regional Postgraduate Dean and Regional Director of Workforce. The role involves leading the delivery of functions related to the dental workforce, aligned with the NHS England mandate.

The Dental Workforce Dean is professionally and managerially accountable to the Regional Postgraduate Dean. The role focuses on:

  • Delivery and improvement of learner supervision, assessment, and experience
  • Engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes
  • Workforce transformation and development of multi-professional links
  • Innovative curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend at least 40% of their time working in-person. If successful at interview, an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) will be conducted in the Electronic Staff Record system (ESR). This transfer gathers information from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including statutory and mandatory competencies, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You will have the opportunity to inform us if you do not consent.
