The Personal Lines Account Executive is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and procuring new business and renewals on personal lines accounts. Provide ongoing service, cross sell and up sell to existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate client needs and provide risk management and insurance advice in the interests of the client.
- Begin building a lasting relationship between clients and McFarlan Rowlands within the many communities that we serve by providing timely, friendly and knowledgeable service.
- Prospect, solicit and place coverage for clients new to McFarlan Rowlands in order to meet New Business goals established on an annual basis.
- Responsible for placing coverage with the appropriate market, completion of the documentation required, and arranging payment in alignment with corporate policy.
- All new business to be reviewed and approved by in house underwriting team before submission to insurer.
- Gather and document relevant information to ensure client receives the appropriate coverage and service.
- Keep abreast of markets, new products, pricing, and opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of all sales communications, contacts, and client activities within the broker management system.
- Adhere to all system procedures and insurance company regulations.
- Assist with special projects at management request.
Qualifications:
- RIBO license required
- 3-5 years of Personal Lines Insurance industry experience
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Applied Epic experience preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills; organized; attention to detail; ability to prioritize; team player; accuracy in recording details
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- CAIB, CIP or working towards an industry designation
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
