Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Manager to join their business.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of on-site quality assurance, from incoming raw materials to the dispatch of finished products.
- Ensure Quality Management System implementation and maintenance in line with BRC requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of product specifications, master data, and procedures by providing feedback to relevant teams.
- Verify and validate HACCP systems, including monitoring CCP checks.
- Manage environmental monitoring programs and hygiene cleaning validation schedules.
- Schedule and manage internal and inspection audits, and validate non-conformance closeouts.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet food safety, quality, and integrity requirements.
- Handle customer complaints, internal non-conformances, and supplier non-conformances, ensuring timely investigations and corrective actions.
- Liaise with external service providers such as X-ray, fumigation, pest control, waste, and calibration companies.
- Manage pest control measures and analyse trends, ensuring follow-ups on recommendations.
- Assist with the commissioning of new equipment, hygiene inspections, swabs, and production trials.
- Drive the site's allergen control management agenda and foster a positive food safety and quality culture.
- Ensure food safety issues and concerns are highlighted to key stakeholders.
