Must Have Experience In The Rail Industry - Up to £350 p/d (Inside IR35) - Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid, 3 Days in Office), Initial 6 Month Contract.
Are you a qualified Junior Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Commercial Manager open to broaden their skills? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to support pre and post-contract commercial management for medium-value, medium-risk projects within the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Support procurement activities, from estimation to contract closure.
- Conduct commercial health checks and support customer meetings.
- Manage the invoice and credit note process.
- Oversee the minor authority process and manage project close-out effectively.
- Ensure financial integrity and accurate data collection for Project Leads.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a generalist commercial environment AND/OR degree in a related field.
- Ability to work on own initiative and provide solutions over problems in a professional working environment.
- Effective negotiation skills and industry awareness.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Membership of a relevant professional institute or chartered status.
- Experience working in rail is desired but not essential.
