Your new opportunity Quarriers Nursery in Ruchazie is a purpose-built facility, with bright modern rooms, designed around the needs of children from birth to three years. Children, and their needs in the early stages of their development, are at the heart of our service. The Nursery works in partnership with Glasgow City Council and is based within a busy multi-disciplinary family centre.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

  • Working as part of an Early Years team based within the nursery providing high quality Early Learning and Childcare.
  • Ensuring the wellbeing and education needs of children aged 0-3 years within an early years setting.
  • Planning and implementing appropriate curricular activities to suit individual children’s developmental needs and interests.
  • Recording and tracking the learning journeys of a key group of children.
  • Delivering high quality child care and education to children aged 0-3 years within the Scottish Government Early Years framework.
  • Scaffolding the learning and development of children aged 0-3 years.
  • Encouraging positive relationships between parents/carers and children.
  • Maintaining appropriate and accurate records of children’s learning and development, including documenting their attendance.
  • Communicating with parents/carers regarding their child’s developmental progress.
  • Being an active team member within the centre overall.
  • Participating in policy review.
  • Working in partnership with other agencies as required.
  • Ensuring that the nursery and resources are kept clean and in good working order.
  • Undertaking any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the post.

This is a permanent full-time post working 35 hours per week.
