An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join their team in Liverpool, Merseyside. This role is suitable for a newly qualified or recently qualified Family Solicitor looking to develop their career with a leading law firm.
Person Specification & Requirements:
- Experience advising on various Family law matters
- Strong time-management skills and ability to manage own caseload
- Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid
- Genuine passion for Family law
- Commercially minded
- Panel membership or progress towards it is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve fee targets by working towards individual and departmental goals as set by the Head of Department
- Handle Private and Public Family matters, including Domestic Abuse, Non-molestation, CCMS applications, amendments, and POAs
- Arrange and attend client meetings, ensuring professional service and excellent client care
- Negotiate with clients and professionals to meet objectives
- Attend court hearings, prison visits, police stations, and other off-site requirements
- Work on Legal Aid cases
- Manage electronic portals and case documentation
- Research and analyze legal documents and case law to ensure accurate advice
- Build relationships with clients and external industry contacts
- Stay updated with legal developments through journals and reports
- Contribute to firm growth by identifying new business opportunities
- Supervise and train trainee solicitors and paralegals, providing guidance and support
