Position Overview: Medical Science Liaison – Diagnostics, Neurodegenerative Diseases

Company:

Inizio Engage is recruiting for a MSL focused on advancing scientific understanding and education around innovative biomarker tests for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer\’s disease.

Role:

This is a specialized, non-traditional MSL role centred on diagnostics and laboratory medicine rather than pharmaceuticals. The MSL will function as a scientific expert at the intersection of neurology, diagnostics, and laboratory medicine, facilitating peer-to-peer engagement with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in neurodegenerative diseases and associated biomarkers.
• Build and maintain scientific relationships with neurologists, geriatricians, cognitive disorder specialists, and diagnostic laboratory leaders.
• Educate stakeholders on the research, clinical guidelines, diagnostic pathways, and current advancements in neurodegenerative biomarkers.
• Support scientific engagement with balanced, regulation-compliant, non-promotional information.
• Participate in scientific congresses and diagnostics meetings to promote awareness and understanding.
• Capture insights and feedback to inform medical strategy, educational initiatives, and evidence generation.
• Contribute to advisory boards, data dissemination projects, and investigator-initiated studies (IIS).
• Support additional scientific exchange activities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Advanced degree in a medical or scientific field (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA, MSN).
• Preferably 2+ years of experience as an MSL, clinical educator, or diagnostic liaison.
• Prior experience in neurology, neurodegenerative diseases, or diagnostics/laboratory medicine is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of biomarkers, diagnostic algorithms, and clinical guidelines for neurodegenerative conditions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and scientific exchange skills.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with KOLs and diagnostic stakeholders.
