Job Opportunity: Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, caring Kitchen Assistant who is eager to make a positive difference by contributing to the provision of excellent care. At Forest Care, we foster a positive working environment that encourages employee participation and humor.

Applicants must have access to their own transport.

Main Duties

Prepare and cook food hygienically
Clean and wash kitchen utensils and equipment
Be aware of residents’ dietary needs and respond to their requests
Hold a suitable food and hygiene certificate – training can be provided
Dispose of waste correctly
Ensure food safety standards are maintained, especially for perishable goods
Assist in serving food
Perform other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment
High level of written and spoken English

This role is subject to a DBS check. While vaccination against Covid-19 is no longer mandatory, we encourage all staff to be fully vaccinated for health and safety reasons.
