Job Opportunity: Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, caring Kitchen Assistant who is eager to make a positive difference by contributing to the provision of excellent care. At Forest Care, we foster a positive working environment that encourages employee participation and humor.

Applicants must have access to their own transport.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and cook food hygienically
  • Clean and wash kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Be aware of residents’ dietary needs and respond to their requests
  • Hold a suitable food and hygiene certificate – training can be provided
  • Dispose of waste correctly
  • Ensure food safety standards are maintained, especially for perishable goods
  • Assist in serving food
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment
  • High level of written and spoken English

This role is subject to a DBS check. While vaccination against Covid-19 is no longer mandatory, we encourage all staff to be fully vaccinated for health and safety reasons.
