Location: Carmarthen

Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools based in Carmarthen. The ideal candidates will have experience working with children in a school environment or within a relevant setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis. Opportunities are available in both Mainstream & ALN settings.

Experience supporting pupils with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) such as Autism & ADHD is beneficial.

Working Hours & Pay:

• Part & Full Time hours available
• £88.92-£95.00 daily rate
• Monday – Friday (during school term)
• 8:30am-3:30pm working hours

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education.
2. Assisting with lesson planning and preparation.
3. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
4. Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Supervising children during activities and breaks.
6. Assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Have a valid enhanced child workforce DBS or willing to obtain one. (£61.30 to pay for a new one, with full refund after 10 shifts through the agency)
• Register with the EWC if not already registered.
• Previous experience working in a primary school or relevant setting.
• A passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are preferred.
