Are you passionate about making pets a priority? Here at CVS, so are we! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Pet Doctors Veterinary Hospital - Newport.

Location: Newport

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 30 hours a week

Shift Pattern: 3 days between Mon - Sat

About the role:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments and managing debt
  • Delivering excellent customer service

What we’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential; veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
