Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Tunbridge Wells £350 – £400 per day Contract Role Hill McGlynn, specialists in construction and property recruitment, are currently working with a leading regional contractor to source an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a live project in Tunbridge Wells. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS to join an established team and take ownership of the financial aspects of a complex construction scheme. Role Overview: You will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, including subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost reporting, and ensuring the project is delivered on budget. Key Responsibilities: * Managing subcontractor packages from procurement to final account * Preparing and submitting interim valuations and variations * Monitoring project costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities * Supporting site teams with commercial and contractual advice * Reporting to the Commercial Manager on project performance Requirements: * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector * Strong understanding of JCT contracts * Excellent negotiation and analytical skills * Proficient in cost reporting and valuation processes What’s on Offer: * Competitive day rate of £350 – £400, dependent on experience * Long-term freelance opportunity with a respected contractor * Autonomy within a supportive commercial team Apply Today To apply, please submit your CV
