£24,591.06, 37.5 hours, Shifts – Mon-Fri 14.00-22.00

Right now, we are looking for a Transport Clerk to join ourTransport Teamat our Fulfilment Centre inStafford.

The Role

The Transport Clerk will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of our transport office,

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively with HGV drivers, driver mates, third parties, and office colleagues
  • Manning the outbound loads, generating driver paperwork, issuing drivers their assigned work/journey and conducting the pre-brief. Completing the de-brief, investigating any route or time discrepancies and escalating issues to a manager
  • Collating, recording and reporting information as required for a safe, smooth, efficient delivery operation. Maintaining all relevant systems so they are accurate and used to their full effectiveness
  • Sharing relevant information across your shift and escalating issues in a professional manner to shift managers
  • Monitoring scheduled outbound loads to ensure timely deliveries and communicating any delays in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative Support to the Transport Coordinators
  • Feeding back to Managers common trends, patterns and concerns with any queries or questions colleagues continually raise or information that indicates there may be a problem
  • Being approachable and confidential; building trust-based relationships across the operation
  • Keeping workstations clean and tidy
