About Us: Randstad are working closely with Welsh Local Authorities to recruit for a pool of adhoc Form F assessors. Our work is driven by values of integrity, child-centered practice, and continuous improvement. As our service expands, we are looking to build our pool of experienced Form F Assessors to carry out independent, high-quality fostering assessments on an ad hoc basis.

Role Overview: We are seeking skilled and experienced Form F Assessors (qualified Social Workers) to undertake comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers. This freelance role is flexible and ideal for professionals who want to take on assessments based on their availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake detailed and analytical Form F assessments in line with the Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
  • Liaise with applicants and other professionals to gather and verify all necessary information.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based assessment reports.
  • Attend Panel meetings to present assessments as required.
  • Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld throughout the assessment process.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (Must be registered with Social Care Wales)
  • Proven experience in undertaking Form F assessments.
  • Strong report writing and assessment skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding, and best practice.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Enhanced DBS check (within the last 12 months or willingness to undergo one).
  • Must be within 20 miles of the South Wales Area.
