Position Overview:

Mersey Care\’s Spring House (Personality Disorder Hub) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its Day and Safe Service. The role is suitable for someone interested in personality disorder, psychological work, and supporting individuals through therapeutic principles across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support service users using therapeutic principles and facilitate social therapy groups within a therapeutic community model.
2. Provide crisis support through face-to-face or phone sessions and brief therapy interventions.
3. Support group facilitation, crisis work, and brief Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT) cases.
4. Facilitate assessments for short-stay beds at Stepping Stones and support care planning.
5. Work collaboratively with the team, including service leads, qualified staff, and support workers.
6. Engage with service users positively during crises, maintaining calmness and hope.
7. Screen referrals, conduct assessments, and determine suitability for support.
8. Coordinate care, develop risk management plans, and liaise with family and carers.
9. Supervise unqualified staff and contribute to training and research-based practice.
10. Participate in service reviews, team meetings, and ensure documentation accuracy.
11. De-escalate situations involving aggression and document incidents appropriately.
12. Support the physical and mental health assessment of service users and participate in multidisciplinary team activities.
