This role is with Algeco OSS, which provides the permanent building solutions within our Group structure, working closely with colleagues in Mod-Sales to provide semi-permanent building solutions. You will own the pre-construction process—from tender to contract award—bringing together internal specialists, consultants, and clients to deliver safe, intelligent, and compelling project proposals. You’ll manage multiple complex projects across a diverse range of sectors including education, healthcare, defence, justice, and residential.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead project development from bid stage through PCSA (where applicable) to handover, ensuring technical, financial, and programme deliverables are aligned.
- Champion design for manufacture and off-site delivery strategies that maximise efficiency, cost control, and sustainability.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs including design, estimating, planning, delivery, commercial, and legal.
- Influence project strategy, risk mitigation, and programme phasing.
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Present tender solutions to Senior Leadership, supporting negotiations and contract close.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and development.

Work Experience:
- Demonstrable project management experience, with construction/ Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) experience being desirable.
- Technical knowledge of MMC – particularly volumetric solutions – is desirable.
- Ideally, the candidate will have experience of working simultaneously across large scale, multi-million £ projects.
- Project management experience, leading and coordinating inputs from colleagues specialising in design, costing, programme planning, logistics etc.
- Strong analytical skills to understand sometimes conflicting inputs and balance outcomes for successful project outcomes.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft suite as a minimum, with other software from AutoDesK, Asta, etc being desirable.
Qualifications:
- You will ideally hold a recognised degree within a relevant discipline, e.g. architecture, construction, building, engineering, quantity surveying etc, although strong project management qualifications (eg PRINCE2, APM), appropriate experience and a demonstrable interest in MMC/construction could be considered.
- CDM Regulation qualifications beneficial but training can be provided.
- CSCS Card is desirable.
