As an Accounts Assistant, you will ensure that accurate and up-to-date accounting information is kept for the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Purchase Ledger: Receive all invoices, ensuring that they are allocated to an expense heading and have been approved for payment. Post all invoices, follow up, and investigate all missing invoices after agreement of monthly statements, and arrange payment of creditors.
- Monthly Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of the bank account and assist the Divisional Accountant with the production of Management Accounts.
- Cashier Duties: Reconciliation and posting of daily banking.
- Sales Ledger: Allocation of funds received, credit control, and periodic meetings with managers to resolve aged queries.
Engage and comply with the Company’s “Treating Customers Fairly” policy. Attend training courses as required, maintain qualifications, and keep abreast of technical developments.
You will have 2-3 years of solid accounting experience; motor retail and Kerridge experience would be an advantage.
