We are looking for an enthusiastic Travel Consultant, with experience in making complex travel arrangements. This is a lovely role working for a small, specialist travel company.
Our client is a specialist tour operator organising group tours for 50 years. They are a family run business with 9 members of staff. A long standing team member will be retiring in February 2025, therefore the client is seeking a new Group Bookings Manager. This is a tight knit team of three, working together to deliver interesting itineraries.
The Role
This is an existing role working in a team of three, where each person is responsible for looking after their assigned groups. Once the booking request has been made by a client, the individual will be responsible for sourcing hotels, flights, coaches and add-ons. They will create the price and manage the bookings, liaising regularly with the client to manage the process through to payments and ongoing updates to the booking. There is very little requirement to travel.
The Candidate
- Must have previous experience making travel arrangements (for example previous experience gained in the travel industry, or as a PA or events manager).
- Competent using MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) and with CRMs in general.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Happy to roll your sleeves up and help out where needed in this small team.
The Terms
- Salary up to £30k FTE* (Dependent on Experience)
- Min 30 hours per week (up to full-time, which is 35 hours), please indicate your preferred working pattern on application.
- Location - This is an office-based role near Sevenoaks. The office is close to a station and also has free parking.
- 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays. In addition the company closes between Christmas and New Year.
