We’re on the lookout for a Carpentry Apprentice to join our friendly and professional Maintenance team. You’ll receive top-quality training, both on-site and at college, while helping maintain and improve our range of properties – from cosy homes to large buildings.
What You’ll Gain:
- A nationally recognised Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery Qualification
- On the job training alongside qualified professionals
- Ongoing mentorship and support

- 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme

How it works:
As part of this two-year apprenticeship, you will complete a nationally recognised qualification through a local college or approved training provider. You’ll typically attend college one day per week (day release) or in short blocks throughout the year (block release), depending on the course structure. During this time, you’ll gain the theoretical knowledge and technical skills that complement your on-the-job training. The college will cover key topics relevant to your role, and you’ll be supported with assignments, projects, and exams to ensure you meet the requirements of the apprenticeship standard. Your progress will be monitored both at work and in college to help you succeed in your career.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting with a variety of carpentry and maintenance tasks on occupied and unoccupied properties
- Learning how to plan work, gather materials, and keep everything running smoothly
- Communicating with tenants and customers in a polite, professional manner
- Using tools, technology, and safety equipment the right way – we’ll show you how
- Supporting the team with admin and record-keeping using digital systems
- Gaining skills that set you up for a long-term career in the trade
About You:
We’re not looking for someone with years of experience—we’re looking for someone with heart, resilience, and a desire to make a difference. You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Someone who’s reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
- Able to follow safety guidelines and work with care and responsibility
- Willing to attend college regularly and complete coursework
- Interest or experience in construction or property maintenance (a bonus!)
- You’ll need to be working towards or already have a full driving licence (if age-eligible)
- Basic qualifications in English and Maths, or willingness to achieve them
