At Bluebird Care, we ensure the safety and wellbeing of the elderly and vulnerable in the comfort of their homes as an alternative to residential care homes. We currently have opportunities for Live-In Carers to join us in North Tyneside & North Northumberland.

You will use your excellent communication skills to build unique relationships with people from all walks of life with different backgrounds and needs, lifestyles, personalities, and cultures. Please note - we require you to have excellent spoken English for this role.
We provide full training, support, and ongoing opportunities to our amazing team of Live-in Carers. The role of a Live-in Carer is similar to other care roles with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household.

Duties include:
- Assisting the customer with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linen.
- Assisting in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of customers.
- Accompanying customers to medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
- Observing, monitoring, and recording clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly reporting any changes to the office.
- Encouraging customers to remain as independent as possible.
- Supporting with medication.
- Assisting customers with meal preparation/fluids.
- Supporting customers with social activities, also companionship.
