The Role We’re looking for a curious and ambitious Data Analyst – Artificial Intelligence Lead to join our growing team. This is a key strategic role for someone passionate about data and emerging technologies who’s ready to lead AI transformation across the company. This role goes beyond numbers—you’ll be our first dedicated hire focused on AI, helping shape and automate our operations. From supply chain to marketing to customer support, you’ll use AI to unlock efficiencies, provide smarter insights, and improve the experience for our customers and pets. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate with various teams to trial, deploy, and scale AI tools that enhance our efficiency and effectiveness. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the discovery, testing, and implementation of AI-driven tools across all business functions Identify opportunities to automate and optimize internal processes using data analytics Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and marketing teams to develop AI models and dashboards Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate their suitability for our operations Create a “test-and-learn” framework to trial new systems with minimal disruption Promote data literacy within the company, supporting and upskilling team members Build and manage reliable data pipelines to ensure quality data feeds decision-making Monitor and analyze AI tool performance, making adjustments for continuous improvement What You’ll Bring to the Role A strong interest in AI and experience with AI tools Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI or similar) Understanding of machine learning concepts and their business applications Ability to work independently and lead initiatives A “test and learn” mindset, comfortable with experimentation Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Passion for innovation and building solutions from scratch Strong communication skills to explain complex data and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience with Shopify, Monday.com (or similar), D2C/e-Commerce platforms, Xero Flexibility in working hours and location An opportunity to shape a critical function in a fast-growing business Job Details Type: Full-time Work from home Schedule Flexitime Monday to Friday Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Industry Retail Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Pets Purest | Natural Pet Care by 2x.
