Responsibilities:

  • As a division of PJT Partners, PJT Park Hill provides fund placement services for alternative investment managers, including private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, and venture capital funds.
  • PJT Park Hill is seeking individuals with strong analytical and writing skills, who take initiative, have great attention to detail, work well under pressure, and have the ability to work well both independently and within teams in a boutique investment firm.
  • The private placement process uniquely develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum.
  • Candidates for the position must possess knowledge of and interest in the alternative asset industry - specifically private equity and hedge funds - as well as at least 1-2 years prior experience in finance.
  • Ideal candidates have a background in investment banking or similar fields.
  • The job requires management of multiple projects often under time constraints / deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients, and great attention to detail.
  • Each fundraising deal is typically run by a three-person deal team – a Senior Project Manager and an Analyst, with oversight from a Partner.
  • On deals, the role of an Analyst is to assist the deal team in all aspects – from working directly with clients in drafting offering memorandums and marketing materials, coordinating all roadshow scheduling and logistics, and preparing for and coordinating all due diligence meetings.
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting the Senior Project Managers in various research projects and the sourcing, diligence and origination of new mandates.
  • The Analyst will also manage and maintain some external PHG materials, including marketing/pitch materials, fund offering booklets and executive presentations for the senior team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Investment Banking or a Placement Agent
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
  • A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic; Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
