Salary: £11.56 per hour

Location: Park Veterinary Group, Saffron Lane and Glenfield branch

Job Type: Permanent, part-time

Hours: 25 hours per week; Monday 8am - 7pm, Tuesday 8am - 1pm, Thursday 2pm - 7pm, Friday 8am - 1pm, plus 1:6 Saturdays at our Glenfield branch. Bank holidays shared as part of the rota.

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time receptionist to join the fantastic team at Park Veterinary Group Vets in Leicester. We are looking for someone to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and provide support to our friendly team. This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not required. Ideal applicants will want to grow within the role, and we offer funded training, including courses with the BVRA, to support this.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the practice diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures.
  • Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone.
  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly.
  • Dispensing medications.
  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms, etc.
  • Processing prescription requests.
  • Taking payments and discussing finances with clients.
  • Promoting offers and services.
  • Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked.

Full training is provided on all the above.

About us: Park Vet Group is a four-branch practice that offers wide-ranging services for small animals and farm animals across Leicestershire and beyond. Our Glenfield branch hosts our certificate-led referral service in orthopaedics, soft-tissue surgery, and ophthalmology. Whetstone is home to our farm animal team, offering routine and emergency treatment. All of our practices are RCVS accredited, meaning we continuously aim to provide a high-quality service to all of our patients and clients.
