We are looking for a highly organised part-time clerical officer with previous experience in a similar setting to undertake this role within the Clinical Haematology admin team, based at the Royal Bolton Hospital. You will work as a member of the team providing administrative and clerical support to both the medical secretaries and the clinical team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Clinical Haematology service within Complex Medicine.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise workload and be able to work with little or no supervision. You should be able to integrate well with the existing team and have a genuine desire to provide a quality service to all patients.
The post holder will work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to be agreed.
Main responsibilities include:- Assist the medical secretaries with filing correspondence and investigation results maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Update LE2.2 tracking system to show location and current status of case notes in relation to document management.
- Request and search for case notes as required.
- Update LE2.2 with the outcome of telephone clinics as instructed.
- Distribution of requests to relevant departments following outpatient clinics.
- Preparation of patient blood forms for outpatient clinics as instructed.
- To follow data quality procedures as appropriate.
