We are seeking to appoint a hard-working individual to organise, oversee and deliver our school meals service.

You will be someone who:

  • has demonstrated reliability and integrity in previous employment;

  • has catering experience relevant to the role;

Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen eye for detail. This position would particularly suit someone who has catering experience and is seeking a term-time only position.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals (including creating healthy menus to appeal to children and their parents)
  • Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and meets quality standards
  • Oversee the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
  • Monitor food supplies and place orders
  • Follow food safety guidelines at all times

Requirements

  • Previous catering experience working in a kitchen
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
  • Ability to lead a team and work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of food safety regulations
  • Willingness to help with various kitchen tasks when needed
  • Excellent customer service ethos
