The position

• This is a full-time permanent position based at our customer\’s distribution centre in Haydock, St Helens.
• Rate of pay: £23,907 per annum
• Weekly hours: 37.5 hours plus a 30-minute unpaid daily break
• Training times: 10am-6pm & 2pm-10pm
• Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7, shifts between 2pm-10pm
• Working Environment: Mixed

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative

As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment to ensure the accuracy of stock entering or leaving the depot.

Your activities may include working across multiple workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits, and Load Adherence checks, many of which involve manual handling.

Job activities

• Audit inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
• Audit picker accuracy for stock destined for stores and investigate errors.
• Follow audit and error verification procedures at all times.
• Maintain integrity at all times.
• Achieve productivity levels aligned with customer expectations.
• Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.

Job specifics

• Ability to respond actively to verbal instructions and warning devices
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
