We are recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Supervisor at Stoughton Infant School in Guildford, Surrey (GU2). This is a part-time, term-time role, working Monday to Friday from 2.45 pm to 6.00 pm.
The Role
As an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations and management of the after school club. Managing and directing a small team, you will ensure the safe and organized running of the club, supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office. You will supervise activities with children, ensuring all activities meet KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards. You will provide a safe, secure environment for children to explore, grow, and have fun.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the after school club at Stoughton Infant School.
- Print daily registers and manage the sign-in/sign-out process, communicating effectively with school staff and parents.
- Understand and deliver KOOSA Kids' programme of activities, directing colleagues as needed.
- Be sensitive to children with additional needs (physical, behavioral, dietary).
- Purchase healthy snacks for the children.
- Maintain awareness of Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding, reporting concerns promptly.
- Ensure the club operates in compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily risk assessments and complete operational paperwork.
- Ensure activity areas are cleaned and tidied daily.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience in childcare, early years, or playwork.
- Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (beneficial but not essential).
- Experience working in a primary school, pre-school, or nursery setting.
- Reliable, passionate, and able to engage with children aged 4-11.
