We are currently recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Supervisor at our club at All Saints Junior School in Fleet, Hampshire (GU51).

This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

The role

As an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of the after school club. Managing and directing a small team, you will ensure the safe and organized running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office.

You will supervise activities with the children, organize, deliver, and participate in them, ensuring all activities meet KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards. Your role is to provide a safe, secure environment where children can explore, grow, and have fun.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the After School Club at All Saints Junior School, Fleet, Hampshire (GU51).
  • Manage daily registers and the 'sign in & sign out' process, communicating effectively with school staff and parents.
  • Understand KOOSA Kids' activity programs and deliver activities accordingly, directing colleagues as needed.
  • Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (Physical, Behavioural, Dietary).
  • Purchase healthy snacks for the club.
  • Maintain understanding of Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Ensure operations comply with policies and procedures at all times.
  • Carry out daily risk assessments and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure activity areas are left clean and tidy; perform cleaning duties as necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in childcare, early years, or playwork settings.
  • A Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience working in a primary school, pre-school, or nursery, e.g., as a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, or Nursery Manager/Assistant.
  • Reliable and passionate about childcare.
  • Ability to relate to and engage children aged 4-11 years.
