What might you be doing?

As an apprentice, your tasks will vary to expose you to all aspects of our work, helping you find your niche. You will learn to:

• Produce detailed designs and drawings
• Use the latest computer modelling software
• Undertake site surveys
• Research innovative technologies
• Participate in meetings with project teams, clients, or end users
• Prepare engineering system designs on computers
• Write specifications
• Monitor construction progress

There may be opportunities to specialise in electrical, mechanical, or digital engineering design.

Training

You will develop technical and management skills in various roles, including design and project management. We offer in-house learning support, mentoring, and supervision throughout your apprenticeship.

You will be granted one day of study leave during term times to attend university and work towards your BSc or BEng in Building Services Engineering. Completing the Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship can lead to Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.

The typical duration is months, depending on prior experience and opportunities to gain full competence.

What do you need?

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Two A levels at Grades A*-C, including Mathematics and Physical Science, or equivalent
• Or a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Building Services Design Technician
• Genuine interest in developing a career in this sector
