Job Description:

Hays Education West Yorkshire division is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Bradford. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position until the end of the academic year, ideal for a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant committed to supporting early years children.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide consistent support to early years children within the classroom.
2. Engage children with educational activities and manage transitions.
3. Monitor and support children\’s safety, including assistance with self-care tasks.
4. Set up engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
5. Promote the use of Read Write Inc phonics scheme, supported by the class teacher.

Requirements:

1. Experience working with children in EYFS.
2. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
3. Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and effectively.
4. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare, or recent experience within the last two years.
5. Experience delivering phonics support.
