About the Department:

The Legal & Governance Team is part of the School's Professional and Support Services, headed by the Director of Governance. The team handles complaints, disciplinary cases, academic appeals, and academic misconduct cases while providing legal and regulatory advice to colleagues.

About the Role:

As a Student Casework Adviser, you will support the management of various student casework functions, including student complaints, disciplinaries, and academic appeals and misconduct cases. This role requires confidentiality, sensitivity, and resilience to ensure a high quality service and timely investigation of student cases.

You will report to the Head of Student Casework and be a key contact for matters related to student casework, working closely with stakeholders involved in a student's academic life and welfare. Your focus will be to promote a good student experience and uphold a duty of care to individual students and the wider student community at SOAS.
