Responsible for:
- Carrying out day to day stores functions which include delivery receipt, kit picking and finished goods dispatch.
Job Purpose:
Handling and safe keeping of all materials received and issued to and from component and finished goods stores. Ensuring that all activities are carried out in line with the company procedures.
Functions:
The Stores Team is manned by 5 staff who look after all Stores related tasks for Huntleigh Healthcare. The Stores team interacts with all areas of the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To receive goods into the company, ensuring correct deliveries in terms of order number and item part numbers delivered.
- Labelling of all items to enable traceability later in the process.
- Locating items correctly once booked into the main Stores.
- The making up of production material kits as required, using barcode scanners and stores requisitions.
- Reporting any significant stock discrepancies to the Stores Manager.
- Receiving finished goods from the Production Department.
- Despatching of finished goods to customers using barcode scanners, whilst adhering to the current aviation security standards.
- Reporting any stock discrepancies to the Stores Manager.
- Using the “M3” business system for all stock transactions.
- Generating/filing stores documentation as required.
- Fork lift truck driving when required.
- Undertake van deliveries locally and nationally.
- Carry out stock audits as required.
- Maintaining the working environment in an organised manner.
- Following safe working practices in line with company procedures and risk assessments.
- Any other duties as required by Management.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Fork lift truck to RTITB standard
- Aviation security
- Stores procedures
- Knowledge of the division products and processes is desirable
- Good communication skills
Internal and External Contacts:
- Purchasing personnel relating to deliveries and kit picking.
- Production personnel relating to the supply of materials to the shopfloor and the receipt of finished products.
- Sales personnel relating to the dispatch of finished products.
- Quality Assurance personnel relating to the inspection of certain deliveries.
Special Features and Conditions:
- Full UK driving licence.
