The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Delaware Valley Veterans' Home is seeking full-time certified nurse aides for all shifts. Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days per week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them with engaging in stimulating activities, you will play a significant role in their wellbeing. Through this day-to-day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), or 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 6:00 AM), with a 30-minute lunch.
- Working every other weekend is required on all shifts.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
