About The Role Team – Enterprise Architecture and Engineering Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in any of the Vitality Offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours. We are happy to discuss flexible working! What this role is all about: As the Release Quality Manager you will be responsible for communicating, embedding, governing and reporting on standards and KPI’s associated with all software testing requirements across the IT Group. Specifically, you will apply focus to our performance testing estate, taking day to day management of our third party performance test team. You will support early engagement of planning our performance test schedule and drive the delivery of the performance test roadmap. This will involve collaborating with multiple agile engineering teams building software that focuses on quality, and ensuring that appropriate quality levels are being met before production release. You will champion standards to deliver effective solutions, minimising defects and only approving changes for release when pre-defined conditions have been evidenced. With experience of test engineering governance and best practices, you will support multi-disciplined internal and external teams with adhering to the enterprise standards. As part of a wider architecture and engineering standards department, you will contribute to relentless continuous improvement in quality and release standards, as well as supporting with analytics and metrics related to their governance. Key Actions Definition of the performance test roadmap Performance test team management Responsible for validating software releases are aligned with test engineering standards before they can be deployed. Making recommendations for rectification where standards are not achieved or escalating as appropriate. Work with test engineering partners to ensure operational governance and controls, assuring adherence to approach and standards, reporting regularly on progress and KPI measures in line with the Enterprise Strategy. Support the Release Manager with reporting and analytics. Work closely with Heads of Engineering, Engineering Managers and Principal Test Engineers to embed standards in their respective teams. Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure quality is considered throughout the SDLC. May attend steering committees and other decision-making forums, assuring key information from a release quality perspective is understood and contributes to such decisions. Excellent relationship, influencing skills and experience of managing multiple and diverse stakeholder groups. What do you need to thrive?
