Location - Birmingham
Hours - 37 per week
Pay - £12.54 per hour PAYE | £15.96 per hour LTD (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
Service Care Solutions is working with a Housing Association based in Birmingham who are looking to recruit an Estate Cleaner to contribute to the quality and appearance of neighbourhoods and estates through cleaning and waste removal duties within Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
Main duties will include:
- Working within various areas of the cleaning team as required.
- Responsibility for the appearance and cleanliness of the internal and external communal parts of properties. Tasks include cleaning duties, litter and small-scale graffiti removal using hand wipes, and repair reporting.
- Working effectively, trustworthily, and in line with company values, especially in the absence of the Team Leader.
- Completing and recording daily and weekly checks.
- Being allocated specific areas of work and maintaining standards as set out in the procedural manual.
- Carrying out block inspections and dealing with hazards or spillages.
- Cleaning communal areas including entrances, stairs, corridors, floors, walls, lifts, windows, rubbish chute hoppers, and bin rooms, including tenant areas.
- Using various cleaning methods such as washing, mopping, sweeping, buffing, polishing, and dusting.
- Removing litter and rubbish from the immediate area surrounding the block.
- Removing sacks and refuse left in communal parts and referring bulk refuse to the appropriate team.
- Flushing and disinfecting drains and gullies.
- Checking bin chutes and access points for cleanliness and blockages, responding according to procedures.
- Removing small-scale graffiti.
- Inspecting for repairs and reporting to the appropriate Team Leader.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a good standard of cleanliness, security, and safety on the Estates, working 5 days out of 7 according to a rota.
This role involves covering large parts of Birmingham, so applicants must have a Full, Clean UK Driving License as access to a company vehicle will be provided.
