We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Logiealmond Primary School as a Pupil Support Assistant. In this role, you will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support children and young people with additional support needs, ensuring they have access to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in the development and well-being of children.
  • Kindness, empathy, and patience.
  • Ability to engage effectively with children and young people.
  • Experience (paid or voluntary) in supporting children with additional support needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with diverse needs, including social, emotional, and physical challenges.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and support positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans.
