POSTING: Front Desk Secretary (SSII Secretary) at Falmouth High School
37.5 hours/week, 12 months/year (6:30am - 2:30pm) for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Previous office secretarial experience a plus
- Positive, inclusive, professional and welcoming attitude
- Knowledge and understanding of the use of digital translation tools
- Multilingual a plus
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Experience and/or ability to provide consistent diligent monitoring of the school entry system as well as coming and going of the main entry
- Experience and/or ability following procedures and protocols related to safety as well as making timely judgment decisions including asking for assistance from administration and/or safety personnel
- Successful customer service experience
- Enjoys working with students, staff, and the public
- Ability to help answer wide-ranging questions or concerns in an efficient and pleasing manner
- Organized and detail-oriented
- High level of proficiency with technology, computer applications and ability to learn as well as adapt to, provide feedback regarding new operating systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact with the community (e.g., students, faculty, staff, families, community members, visitors, etc.)
- Advance an office entry climate that is welcoming, inclusive and develops a sense of belonging
- Monitor and operate the entry system including working closely with the administration and safety personnel on all protocols and procedures
- Greet and assist families of enrolling students including use of translation tools, connecting to appropriate school and/or district personnel and building a "go to" person relationship
- Work with sub-coordinator at start of each school day on the coverage assignments and monitor throughout the day for coverage issues
- Work as an integral part of the administrative office team
- Oversee office routines
- Perform a variety of secretarial duties
- Provide support to administrative and clerical staff
- Work with and at times be the lead contact with programs using the high school facility year round (e.g., summer school, camps, professional development)
- Maintain calendar and manage forms in collaboration with principal secretary and athletic department
- Welcoming and assisting with enrolling new families in summer months
- Working with administration office team in coordinating registration as well as ninth grade transition programs
- Assist with other tasks as directed
Reports to: Principal's Secretary
Salary: In accordance with Secretarial contract.
