Job Title: Pricing Analyst (Risk)

Locations: London/Manchester (flexible)

Markerstudy Group is looking for a Risk Pricing Analyst to join a rapidly growing and developing pricing department across various insurance lines.

In our retail pricing team, you will monitor trading across different channels and insurance products. You should have experience in general insurance pricing and be familiar with tools like SAS, Python, RStudio, SQL, Emblem, and Radar. A keen interest in the UK personal lines insurance market and a mindset open to continuous process improvement are essential.

As a Pricing Analyst, your key responsibilities include:

1. Conducting retail price optimisation analysis and modelling.
2. Developing customer propensity and Life Time Value (LTV) models using SAS or SQL.
3. Creating innovative data solutions to mine insights and present data effectively.
4. Building and maintaining sophisticated models, applying data science techniques.
5. Promoting the adoption of data science and statistical methods.
6. Communicating results clearly to decision-makers for strategic actions.
7. Collaborating with pricing, underwriting, and data science teams.
8. Providing insights to support commercial decisions and strategic pricing changes.

Key Skills and Experience:

1. Experience in general insurance pricing.
2. Knowledge of predictive modelling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering.
3. Proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL.
4. A quantitative degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science.
5. Experience with WTW’s Radar software is preferred.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
