The predicted salary is between 24192 - 36288 Β£ per year.
Salary - Β£32,280 plus excellent benefits and career progression.
As part of this role you will carry out general duties, including all aspects of digging associated with LV service jointing, column/sign/bollard erection/removal and associated cable networks. You will also carry out driving, delivery and general yard duties in support of the Lighting and Grid business.
Main Responsibilities of the role:
- The removal or decommissioning of assets as required.
- Work in connection with the installation and decommissioning of ALL associated street lighting equipment and EV connections.
- Driving general company vehicles including HGV.
- Operating lorry mounted crane.
- Excavation work for joint holes, columns, sign and bollard installations and associated cable runs.
- The safe use and operation of tools, equipment and vehicles associated with the role.
- Providing support to skilled and specialist operatives.
- Working in a safe manner and in accordance with Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures.
- Complying with operational working practices and associated risk assessments.
- Taking full ownership for personal Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Mentoring young and vulnerable persons on site.
- Ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
What we need from you:
- A current NRSWA qualification LA 01 to 08 + 08.
- A high degree of manual dexterity.
- The willingness to work unsociable hours if required by the business.
- The ability to understand and carry out work instructions.
- The ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- The ability to communicate with colleagues.
- The ability to interact with the public in a polite and courteous manner, while carrying out work.
It would be great if you have:
- An appropriate G39, HESA 210 and 214 safe isolation qualification.
- MEWP CPCS qualifications appropriate to the role.
- Up to date UK HGV Class II Driving Licence.
- CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
