As a member of our Ground Operations Team at Manchester Airport, our Baggage Handlers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers\’ luggage.

What will you do as a Baggage Handler?

• Ensure the accurate and timely loading and allocation of baggage from the Bag Hall to the aircraft.
• Drive airside vehicles to transport baggage to aircraft, following Service Level Agreements.
• Work with Ramp teams to load aircraft, on the ramp and inside the aircraft hold, following safety instructions and weight & balance rules.
• Unload inbound baggage, ensuring correct distribution onto Baggage Carousels.
• Support operations during disruptions and delays.

We offer 30 hours per week on a Fixed Term Contract.

This role requires shift work with a rolling shift pattern of 4 shifts on, 2 days off, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays. Rosters are provided 4 weeks in advance.

What skills will I need?

• This is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting (manual handling training provided).
• Seeking adaptable, self-motivated individuals with good time management skills who enjoy teamwork.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces when loading luggage into aircraft.
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and pass a medical exam administered by the airport.
