The Shift Manager role reports to the Operations Manager and leads all aspects of the daily shift operation in a cost-effective and productive manner. The Shift Manager will ensure service levels meet agreed standards and KPIs, while effectively managing team members to achieve customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the warehousing operation, ensuring effective and accurate sortation of goods.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, maintaining safety and proactivity.
- Manage costs and performance of the shift.
- Drive excellent customer service through team engagement.
- Manage performance, conduct, absence, engagement, and development of team members, holding them accountable to standards.
- Monitor KPIs, identify actions, and communicate areas for improvement.
- Provide shift summaries and handover records, detailing any exceptions and actions taken.
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in logistics or distribution industries.
