Part-Time Van Driver – Day Program (19 per hour)

We are seeking a part-time Van Driver to transport adults to and from our Day Program in Wakefield, MA. The driver will work 20 hours per week on a schedule of Monday through Friday, with shifts 7:30am–9:30am and 2:30pm–4:30pm.

What you will do

The driver is responsible for picking program participants up at their homes and dropping them off at the program location. You will help participants start and end their day and get to know the individuals you support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and punctual transportation of individuals to and from the program and their homes.
• Notify the Director of vehicle or equipment deficiencies and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
• Provide assistance to people supported when entering and leaving the vehicle.
• Complete monthly vehicle maintenance/safety checklists and submit them to the Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• At least three years of driving experience is required.
• Physical examination, along with drug and alcohol testing, is required after an offer of employment.
• Valid Massachusetts driver\’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required.
• Background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting will be completed for successful candidates.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly wage: $19.00 per hour
