Achieve, improve, and work to stretch your agreed KPI targets. Maximise store sales through stock positioning, managing, and co-ordinating in-store and national promotions with a touch of flair, whilst ensuring full brand and range guideline adherence. Maximise gross margin by active management of store layouts, range, and own label participation as per the company procedures. Management, planning, and organising of quarterly stock takes. Set and control overhead costs including rostering, ensuring controllable costs are within agreed targets, and proactively work on cost savings. Achieve and maintain consistently high overall store standards in line with auditing standards. Ensure the safety of customers, colleagues, and third parties by managing legal compliance in store through food safety, council, and health and safety regulations. Attract and retain talent through effective recruitment campaigns with support from resourcing, ensuring fair employment practices throughout all processes. Manage your colleagues, including maintaining a suitable team size, adherence to company policies and procedures, absence management, performance management, and the effective use of disciplinary and grievance procedures as required. Engage and motivate your colleagues through effective communication, coaching, and leadership to unlock their potential. Take action to maintain and improve store engagement levels as measured by the annual engagement survey. Develop and maintain links with local communities and charity partners, emphasizing community involvement.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience in a convenience store at Store Manager level or at least 2 years recent management experience in a supermarket environment at Store Manager level
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent), or further education in related disciplines such as management or supervisory qualifications
- Proven experience in stock control, people management, cost control, local marketing, HACCP implementation, and security
- Experience managing a team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Post Office, off-license, or forecourt management
- Good knowledge of food safety practices
