Hotel: Grand Central Glasgow (GLAGS), 99 Gordon Street, G1 3SF. voco Grand Central Hotel are looking for our next Part Time Front Office Night Team Member to join us in creating a warm voco welcome for our guests! Our locally curated voco Grand Central stands strong in Glasgow's city centre, bringing together un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to our business and leisure guests alike. Holding the biggest ballroom in Scotland with natural light and our iconic award-winning Champagne Central Bar, our hotel is full of over 140 years of culture, history, and storytelling with our relaxing spaces for guests to enjoy.

About the Role: As a Night Team Member, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our guests during the overnight hours. You’ll be the friendly face they see at check-in, the helping hand when they need assistance, and the calm presence through the night.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming guests on arrival, checking them in and out efficiently and warmly.
  • Handling guest queries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.
  • Setting up the breakfast area to ensure a great start to the morning for our guests.
  • Carrying out regular fire walks and safety checks overnight.
  • Performing manual handling tasks such as moving heavy bins and other porterage duties.
  • Supporting with other physical or operational tasks as needed.
  • Recognising and rewarding our loyal IHG One Rewards members and encouraging new guests to join.
  • Creating a memorable impression by sharing local insights and offering thoughtful service.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts predominantly Fridays and Saturdays between 21:30-08:30.
  • Experience working in the nighttime as a reception team member, Concierge or Guest Services Agent at a 3/4* Hotel is beneficial.
  • Confident working on hotel systems, experience working with Opera specifically is a big plus.
  • An un-stuffy, thoughtful approach to service. You will be someone who enjoys showcasing your personality and your ability to be a host to our guests, providing them with a laid-back stay.
  • An interest in our environment and sustainability – we are characterised by innovation and finding ways to become more sustainable.
  • Overall, ready to work in our voco team and provide our guests with a warm Glasgow welcome!
