IMMEDIATE 7.5T / DELIVERY DRIVER VACANCIES ONGOING CONTRACT UK LEADING PUBLIC SECTOR PROVIDER, LIGHT WORK DAYS ONLY, GUARANTEED 5 DAYS A WEEK AND WEEKLY PAY OF £14.50/hr.
Our client, a leading logistics supplier within the public sector, is seeking professional 7.5 Tonne delivery drivers to join their team on a temp-to-permanent basis. Drivers are customer-facing and act as ambassadors for our client. As a multi-drop driver, you will be expected to deliver a range of parcels & goods to commercial destinations. The role involves route planning, completing paperwork, parcel & vehicle checks, making deliveries/collections, and providing excellent customer service, working professionally and efficiently in accordance with company policies.
Job Duties:- Start at 7am - approximately 3:45pm finish, Monday to Friday
- Perform mostly local and South East multi-drop deliveries
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, report faults to Line Manager, and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting checks and faults immediately.
- Keep the 7.5T vehicle clean and used solely for business purposes.
- Assist in loading orders onto the vehicle, ensuring payload limits are adhered to and goods are safely loaded for delivery.
- Comply fully with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
- Complete all scheduled deliveries promptly, unloading and delivering to the final destination as requested.
- Ensure all Proof Of Delivery (POD) paperwork is accurate and authorized.
- Drive in a fuel-efficient and safe manner, as this is an asset to the company.
- 7.5T Driving Licence
- Over the age of 21
- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your license
- Right to work in the UK
