We’re looking for a superstar Account Director or Senior Account Director to join our close-knit team, covering the maternity leave of one of the team – with the potential for the role to become permanent based on the growth of the business. You will be the day-to-day lead across a number of the agency’s key accounts and will have the autonomy to run your own team and lead campaigns. You will own the relationships with clients, anticipating their needs and acting as an extension of their team. You will be instrumental in developing strategy and delivering campaigns for clients. Through the management of campaigns you will plan activity, delegate work to your team and manage deadlines and budgets to ensure all targets are met. You will also be required to dedicate time to the development of junior team members and ensuring their work is of the highest standard, whilst working closely with the board to support the agency's new business activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Owning key client relationships
- Managing the needs of the client and their account, anticipating needs, providing consultancy and directing the team to deliver
- Developing strategic and creative PR campaigns
- Keeping abreast of current marketing, PR and digital trends, tools and publications
- Writing snappy, engaging copy for a range of channels and audiences
- Building and maintaining a network of media contacts and influencers
- Assisting with the new business process, developing proposals and pitching
- Responsible for the development of junior team members, with one direct report
Desired skills, experience and personal characteristics
- 5+ years experience in a PR/marketing role
- Experience of account/stakeholder handling either within an agency or in-house
- A passion for health and fitness and knowledge of the fitness industry/active leisure markets
- Experience creating and delivering impactful, creative PR campaigns which drive measurable results
- Superior writing and editing skills, excellent grammar
- Professional presenting style
- Ability to nurture relationships across a broad spectrum of media
- A team player
- Strong organisational and time management skills
