The Bid Management team are accountable for WTW most strategically important bids and driving leadership strategy to support and evolve the GB proposition. This is an exciting and hands-on role that is part of the GB Construction team and requires exceptional bid management, service design and communication skills as well as strong project management, commercial awareness, and creative thinking. The successful candidate will assist the teams to drive winning and profitable sales growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join the construction division within WTW, where you will have the chance to work alongside a collaborative, client focused business. This role offers variety, opportunity for development and scope to drive innovation, working with clients and colleagues based across the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team including: Gain an understanding of the requirements of our clients and potential clients and draw upon this insight to create compelling propositions. Experience in large and complex Construction accounts preferable. Manage the bid process across the entire lifecycle including responding to Requests for Information (RFI), planning for and attending bidder calls/ meetings, coordinating clarification questions, managing Requests for Proposals (RFP), presentations and post pitch negotiations Manage internal stakeholders with bid/no bid decisions Provide full ‘end to end’ deal pursuit support across the opportunity life cycle for assigned offensive/defensive ‘business critical’ bids Actively participate in the process of identifying the Project Response team, developing a winning strategy, key messaging, executive summary and differentiated insight, including challenge where needed to develop a compelling and client centric proposition Oversee the development of high quality and compelling graphically designed final response documentation Develop and contribute to a best practice library of content – improving the efficiency of information sharing across the team, to develop the best documents Ensure that governance is undertaken based on the scope of every opportunity in line with the governance process. Maintain and share key mid management MI with GB Construction leadership. Participate and embed early prospect/client engagement to shape RFP design and build stronger proposition narratives. Debriefs, execution and recording there of Liaison with proposition leaders/teams regarding their on-going and future requirements. Liaison with GB Sales & Client Management and peers within WTW Global Specialties Qualifications The Requirements Experience in direct line management. A self-motivated team leader who is enthusiastic and able to support a project effectively Deep understanding of the technical compliance and specification requirements of similar bids / tenders Robust financial/commercial knowledge Ability to communicate and work effectively across WTW and at varying levels of the business Expert knowledge of tender procurement processes Proven experience in developing and winning large-scale contracts and a track record of bidding and tendering success in a senior leadership role Evidence of analytical skills and producing high quality written work to tight deadlines Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environment Experience of chairing and facilitating meetings, managing multiple stakeholders and building relationships with senior leaders Experience in leading storyboarding sessions, participating in key review meetings / final document review, content editing and sign off, and document production Excellent IT skills especially across Microsoft Office.
