Our client, a respected logistics company with a long-standing reputation, is looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their operations team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering stability, responsibility, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive transport office.

The Role

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for organising and overseeing daily transport operations. You will plan efficient routes, manage vehicle utilisation, and coordinate drivers to ensure services are delivered safely, cost-effectively, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule daily vehicle routes

Maximise fleet efficiency through effective planning and resource allocation

Maintain strong communication with drivers, customers, and colleagues

Monitor live operations, resolving issues quickly to keep deliveries on track

Ensure compliance with transport regulations and internal standards

Support the day-to-day running of a busy transport office

About You

Previous experience in transport planning within a logistics or haulage environment (essential)

Good geographical knowledge

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Effective communicator with drivers and customers alike

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced office

Flexible, positive attitude with a focus on teamwork
