Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, a forward thinking and creative education charity, who urgently seek to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join them on a part-time basis. This is a permanent position that works over a flexible 1-or-2 day week, with patterns to suit the successful candidate. There’s also potential for a hybrid working arrangement to be discussed.
This is an important and varied role that will see the successful Bookkeeper reporting to, and working closely with, the charity’s senior management team, leading the day-to-day financial controls of a busy organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of accounts payable and receivable
- Production of accounts to trial balance
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
- Aged debtor management
- Petty cash management
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with full-cycle accounting experience and a good knowledge of modern accounting procedures. This is an involved position that will require strong organisational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external shareholders. Whilst previous experience of working with charity finances would be advantageous, candidates who have the necessary skills to adapt will be very much considered. Person fit is going to be very important; a friendly and positive attitude and a good sense of humour will fit in well with this organisation!
