The Council is seeking to appoint an FCA regulated organisation to provide quality banking services in support of its existing cash management activities. The contract will encapsulate the provision of all business main account services, including facilitating BACS and CHAPS payments.
Potential providers would be required to meet the Council's minimum short term credit rating as per the Council's treasury management strategy (currently A+ and F1). It must also be an international clearing bank domiciled in the UK or with a UK subsidiary.
The Council is seeking to generate additional process efficiencies, reduce risks, and enhance scrutiny controls by embracing automation, and by working closely with the successful provider to implement innovative banking service solutions.
