We're an up-and-coming startup in search of an Operations Manager with a focus on compliance, including data privacy and information security. This role entails collaboration with our external consultants, as well as support in general startup operations across legal, finance, and HR sectors. In our small but expanding team, this role offers substantial prospects for advancement.
At gocertify, we're revolutionising how brands manage their offers and loyalty programmes. In just over three years, we've forged partnerships with over 350 retailers, including FARFETCH, Currys, Samsung, HelloFresh, and the H&M group. Our rapid growth has led to driving over £5 million in monthly retailer sales, all achieved as a fully bootstrapped and profitable entity.
Our two groundbreaking products are:
- Closed Group Offer Verification: This service allows retailers to target important customer segments like students and key workers with exclusive discounts. Using AI, we provide instant and accurate verification.
- White-Label Offer Pages: We assist retailers in converting more shoppers searching for discounts by creating seamless, brand-owned discount pages.
Both products champion the collection of zero-party data, positioning gocertify at the forefront of a movement towards retailer-owned shopper data.

About the Role
- Data Protection and InfoSec (60-70%)/General Startup Operations (30-40%).
- Liaison with external consultants on data protection and information security.
- Project management of security protocols and privacy strategies, aiming for ISO27001 certification.
- Overseeing the due diligence process with major clients.
- Acting as the primary contact for information security and data protection matters.
- Devoting 30-40% of your role to broader startup operations.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy laws like GDPR, and standards like ISO27001.
- Experience in a tech product business, particularly in data protection/security.
- Project management skills and ability to coordinate with various parties.
- Experience in broader operations tasks.
- Commitment to promoting DE&I in the workplace.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Location: UK based, remote. Monthly attendance in London for meetings and events.
